Preface: From the Editor

The aim of this bilingual blog is to provide a forum for students and alumni from our department to publish their creative pieces. We welcome poems, short stories, pictures, photo essays and other creative outputs. Ever since the publication of Sabayoning the City (2005), I have always hoped that such a cultural space can be opened up. As Henri Lefebvre says, “Art can become praxis and poiesis on a social scale: the art of living in the city as a work of art.” We hope that this blog will provide a modest beginning to the realization of our long-term dream of living in the city as a work of art.
